Gattinara Riserva - 2018 - Gattinara DOCG
Bright ruby red color with orange reflections, catching the eye with its delicate transparency.
Elegant on the palate, with a vigorous and dominant tannin that takes on its full character as the years go by. Flavour and freshness dominate the palate, with a long and tasty persistence that continues to evolve.
Complexity and concentration, dominated by licorice spices and juniper berries, balsamic sandalwood and abundant toasting. This is followed by a fruity flavor reminiscent of fruit preserved in spirits, strawberry and blackberry jam, finished with discrete hints of flowers.
After crushing and maceration for about 15 days, fermentation follows in stainless steel at controlled temperatures. Aging for 4 years in oak barrels of different sizes and origins and 8 months in the bottle.
